Moose-meeting ;-)

This cool image managed Graeme Richardson capture at the moose who jumped up on the track in front of my leader dogs Ozona and Texas on Monday! You can bet on that we got full speed for the dog sled, it was perfect for our English guests on the sled of course!

 It happens quite often this time of year but it's always nice to meet king of the forest at close quarters. In the fall I has the privilege to come in at close range when I hunt elk with my elkhounds :-)

Sunday

Today we woke up to-28C and the sun has come out in full so it will probably be a nice day. We are waiting for foreign and Swedish guests today who is going out on tvåtimmes tours so we keep our fingers crossed that the sun heats up a little today. Yesterday we had a fantastic day out in the Luleå Archipelago with Jopikgården and lovely Dutch guests on half-day tour. Visiting at the chapel on Brändöskär and outdoor lunch with good food and homemade pastries :-) Life is good despite the persistent cold!

Today we have a rest day. We all need it. Tomorrow we work again :-)

First thing in the morning all the dogs got their food as usual. Ulf went out with the snowmobile on the tracks, after review of all equipment for todays tour. ERV from Germany visited us for a drive-yourself tour by dog team in the afternoon they stay at Hotel Storforsen and had been out with icebreaker at Pite Havsbad. Nice people, which estimated the dog sled tour :-)

Monday

Today I visited the Animal Clinic in Öjebyn with four dogs. The same great care each time I visit them :-) Thank´s to everyone that works at the Clinic!
After that we have run all five young dogs today with good results :-) Two of them will probably take a place as alpha dog in the team before the end of this season :-)

Perfect day at our Husky Farm

 Yet another perfect day! Channel 24 Norrbotten have been here today for the recording of the challenge. It will be broadcast on a Monday in February :-)

What a fantastic start of 2011!

What a great start to 2011! We have worked with the dogs 15 of 17 days in January :-) Lots of bookings coming in. The season is in full swing. So far this year we have had French, German, Swedish, Danish, British, Australians and Dutchmen who has visited us. Todays visitors came from London :-)

The New Year 2011!

HAPPY NEW YEAR AND GOOD TO BE CONTINUED IN 2011!

This year's second day feels good, the dogs in good shape after the Christmas and New Year's weekend intensive jobs. Today we will reload for the next week intensive work with the dogs :-)

Dogsled-arrangement

 A fantastic day with the Animal Clinic as guests. Cold, clear weather with -20 degrees. First a dogsled-tour then there was lunch in the tipi and dessert. A successful day with nice people who gave us a perfect Sunday :-)
